Hello, hello, hello,
I´ve been transfered, I´ve been transfered, Haleluhah! Haleluhah! Haleluhah! Haleluhah! And No more pain as jr assistent. (sing to the music of the haleluhah chorus) I am now in Porto Velho! My new area . . . Tuncredo Neves! Which means . . . I dont know . . . something about snow! My new companion is Elder Newby from PRESTON IDAHO! Do we have any Napoleon fans reading? Send him some chap stick cause his lips hurt real bad! Ha! I am so funny. He is a great friend of mine. I have known him since my good old days in Ramo Acre. He was my district leader, now we are zone leaders together. I was so happy to be transfered. My old companion was good, but just didn't know how to have fun. . . and I quote. "Elder Perry, members are not our friends, we just have to work with them." You can imagine how many refferals we got from the members there! I could not handle it anymore. If I laughed with somebody he would get all mad at me. So it was great to leave. Sadly though I loved the people there. I was in the hospital with another Elder when I got transfered. Elder Lucena was having his apendix taken out. So I didn't pack my stuff -it was my Brazilian brothers . . . the four other Brazilians I live with. They did a great job... I think I lost one cd though. "Love is spoken Here" It was so hard to leave them, when I left I almost cried. Elder Rocha cried when he said goodbye to me, he went home today.
General Conf. . . was . . . interesting. I didn't watch it in English. And it is terrible in another language. Be thankful you speak English! The speaker would be crying and the translater is just talking normally. So it's harder to feel the power! Also it was hard for me too because I could hear the English and Portuguese all at the same time so I just sat there with a headache trying to figure out which language I should listen to. So if you could send me some of the best talks in the mail that would be great. Well I love you so much. I love serving and I am so excited to serve with Elder Newby!
