Well Luzia is doing great. She is going through a rough spot in her life. She is having some real health problems. I think it could be something serious like cancer. She is always having pains in her stomach. So she is passing through this rough time and still she has stopped smoking a little bit. She says its hard because she uses smoking as a way to releave her stress from the pain. She smoked 15 per day and has cut back to about 4-7 . . . so keep praying! Also remember . . . I dont know if I told you about the women who . . . yeah I did tell you. The question about the skin changing colors. Well we taught her last night. It was amazing! We taught the first lesson. After the first vision she explained her feelings . . . "wow, I feel so different. I am a person who trusts God and I could feel his presence here. So I think this really happened. I really think this man saw God." It was great! Then we taught her about the Book of Mormon. I don't know why we try to teach her about the Book of mormon- she studies it better than anyone else! So we start teaching her about Moroni 10:3-5. How we just need to read and pray. She stopped us and said, "yeah I know . . . it says the same thing here in the front of the book. Sorry, I am a teacher so I love to read and study." Then she started to explain to us about Lehi and how he left Jerusalem. And how she talked to her friend about the book and this is what she said. . . "Well I was talking to her about the book and she just started talking bad things about the Mormons. She told me that there is no way that anyone could have crossed the ocean. Then I just started to think about of all the scientific ways the Book of Mormon is true. There are so many theories that really could help prove this book to be true. The fact that people think the continents were once close together. Well if my friend thinks it's impossible for someone to cross the ocean during this time period, well how does she know how big the ocean was? Lehi could have just traveled a little bit. And I have been thinking . . . There were Indians here before so why wasn't God teaching them about Jesus Christ. It's not just for the people who lived where Jesus was teaching." She will be a great investigator!
