So I love my new area! Its so beautiful here! It is a city at the end of the pantenal! So it's fun to see some cool birds here! Also the river is so pretty and the city so . . . almost Italian, German, or just fun. I feel like I am in Europe! The city has a ton of Europeans, Germans, and Italians. They´re Brazilians, but they are just lighter skinned and blue eyes and stuff! So my area is huge! I feel like it's like the size of Bingham to the freeway, and 9000 to like South Jordan Park! I know it's probably not that big but it feels like it! And it's really hot. Yesterday I was walking and I started to slip in the street - why would I be slipping in the street you might ask? Well I started to slip and sink in the asphalt that was melting in the road!!!! Are you kidding me! The bottom of my shoe is now a road . . . because the asphalt dried. Its that hot! Its really funny! I just love the area! Ramo Acre is my heart but it's nice to be confused and working in Cáceres. The members are really strong. There are 15 returned missionaries! Its great! So I have already made great friends here! I don't know what it is - but when I arrive in an area I always find a teenager who is having a little trouble, and I just want to help so bad! So my new friend is Diego. He was a strong member, but went inactive because he moved to a city without the church. He came back to Caceres and is going to church again. Well, he is 21 years old and I am going to help him serve a mission. That's my goal. When I was companions with Elder Winegar he said . . . "Its nice to see that you haven't really changed. In high School everyone always talked about their problems with you and you knew everything about everyone." It's the same way still in the mission field. . . everyone is really open with me, which helps a lot! I can pull doubts out of any hard headed investigator. So with Diego... I met him on Sunday, and I got him to go on splits with us on Monday night! I got him to talk and he told me that he is just scared because he is shy. I´m going to help him learn to not be shy! So he is going to keep going on splits cause he really liked it. Isnt that exciting!?!
